We’re So Glad You Found Us!
Howdy and thanks for “popping” by! We are Troy & Amy, a husband and wife team, who after 26 years in Corporate America decided to step away and follow our dream. Popcorn! We are based out of Harker Heights, Texas, but both hail from the blustery Washington State Coast. As the old adage goes, “we weren’t born in Texas, but we got here as fast as we could!”.
Our Popcorn journey started back in the summer of 2012 when we purchased our 1st kettle corn machine on Craigslist. The first 2 years we spent perfecting our kettle corn recipe and doing a few festivals. At this time we were both working full time jobs, so events for us were few and far between. Fast forward to 2014-2016, we started popping at local farmers markets and added many more festivals and special events to our calendar. In 2016 we decided it was time to grow again and this time in the form of our gourmet popcorn shop, POP! CornUtopia.
We spent 2016 mixing and blending spices for our savory corn and cooking up delicious flavored sweet corn using our own original recipes, fresh ingredients, and lots of imagination. To date we have created over 30 delicious flavors (though we don’t display that many at once)! At POP! CornUtopia we take great pride in bringing you the freshest, most delicious popcorn in Central Texas by popping fresh daily using real recipes with real ingredients and popping only in the finest coconut oil.As part of our mission to be a community immersed business, POP! CornUtopia also works with schools, sports teams, dance/gymnastic organizations and other group
